And another video from our comic duo. Watch Indie: he is enticing Shanti to play with him. I was way too late to catch him on camera, but I got the tail end of it. He walked up to Shanti with the Holee roller in his mouth, stops short of her and turns around, prancing. The goal is to get her to chase him and then play tug. He did this 6 times! You would think “hey, 6 times, you should have had time to catch your camera!” Yep, you would think so, but I was afraid that I would break the spell and Indie was sooooo funny to watch.
Finally, Shanti caved in and joined Indie in his game. Enjoy!

We have been hearing from our local hotels that people are already booking rooms for Muttzanita 2010!
August is the busiest time of the year in Manzanita and gets fully booked early. If you are planning on attending Muttzanita and booking a room, there is no time like the present! Muttzanita 2010 is on Saturday August 14th.

Indie’s favorite sleeping spot!
Indie loves sleeping on top of the heating vent behind the curtains! He is the silliest Newfie I have ever known. Which Newfie sleeps on top of a heating vent? Indie was born during a heat wave and his house had air conditioning. He was a smart puppy and slept on top of the heating vent when the AC was on, so COLD air came out. But we do not have AC and only hot air comes out of our heating vent!

Furry Friend or Significant Other?
A recent survey of 24,000 people in 23 countries found that 21 percent of adults would rather spend February 14 with their pet than their significant other. Hmmm…I really like Oscar, Shanti, and Indie, but I would have to give the nod to Barbara — at least on Valentine’s day 
The survey said 25 percent of people aged under 35 opted for their pet over their partner compared to 18 percent of those aged 35-54 and 14 percent of people aged 55 plus. Gives new meaning to puppy love.
On a country-by-country basis, residents of Turkey were the most likely, at 49 percent, to choose their pet over their significant other. On the other hand, the nations where residents were the least likely to want to spend the day with a pet instead of their significant other were France at 10 percent.
